Outstanding physical therapist research scholars are invited to apply for a newly endowed full-time tenure-track faculty position - The Jane Kroh Satterfield Professorship in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, School of Medicine, at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. We are seeking an individual with an established and highly successful research program with interests that complement and extend existing areas of excellence in biomedical and rehabilitation science research.
Qualifications and Responsibilities: To be considered for this tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, applicants must have training in physical therapy and be eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland, and hold a PhD degree preferably with postdoctoral research training. Successful candidates will have a strong scholarly research record of publications in an area that complements existing expertise in neuromotor control, biomechanics, bioengineering, brain mechanisms, muscle physiology/performance, or exercise science. The preferred candidate will have a strong federal grant funding history. In addition, the candidate will have demonstrated past experience in mentoring, teaching, supervising doctoral students, collaborative inter-disciplinary research endeavors, and participating in extensive institutional, local, and national service. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and others with diverse backgrounds within multiethnic and multicultural campus and community settings.
Rank and Salary: Full-time, tenure-track position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor. Salary and start-up funds commensurate with experience and qualifications.
