Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

Performs advanced, direct therapy services to patients in accordance with generally accepted physical therapy standards, State of Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act, code of ethics, and departmental procedures. Records patient evaluations, re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record in accordance with departmental documentation standards.
Assists leadership with interviewing, orienting, training and supervising rehabilitation services staff. Contributes to and/or completes performance evaluations and handles corrective actions. Supports an open and goal-oriented work environment with established clear and concise work procedures and productivity standards. Collaborates with leadership in identifying gaps and opportunities for professional development and advancement activities.
Collaborates with leadership in identifying gaps and opportunities for program development, performance improvement and strategic organizational initiatives.
Assists leadership in the identification and resolution of complex clinical and operational issues in order to assure high quality care, and efficient departmental operations. Facilitates a positive culture.
Ensures interdisciplinary safe, patient-centered care and delivers excellent customer service
