Full of history, the area offers a community rich with diversity, the arts, technology, vineyards, hiking, canoeing/kayaking and many other activities.Germanna Community College is searching for an experienced Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with experience in education to serve as Program Director for the Physical Therapist Assistant program.  The appointment will be a 10-month full-time position. The program director is responsible for administrative oversight of the program as well as teaching in the didactic curriculum.  Salary is commensurate with academic teaching rank and credentials, plus state benefits. ·         Earned professional degree as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant·         Minimum of masterâ™s degree in physical therapy or a related field·         Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Virginia; Minimum of 5 years post-licensure full-time clinical experience·         Academic and/or clinical teaching experience·         Experience in administration/management·         Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills·         Current knowledge and skill in the use of information and computer technology or proven ability to learn these skills·         Able to work with students with special needs based on the American Disabilities Act (ADA)·         Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal and practice issues affecting clinical education, students and the profession of physical therapy·         Able to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers; Able to travel as needed
